The Art of Morocco: Interpretation of a Land

About twenty years ago, the artist travelled to Morocco for what became a memorable and inspirational two weeks. Ever since that trip, the landscape of Morocco, so enticing, as well, to the Impressionist painters, has continued to appear in painting after painting. In the mid-90's, Cardona-Hine painted a beautifully simple Moroccan painting and titled it, “Final Moroccan Painting.”

Final it did not become, however, and his friends still tease him about it as, year after year, that country's land continues to appear in the soft and beautiful colors he saw there. Cardona-Hine's paintings and Moroccan art capture the beauty and elegance of the Arab world and culture.
