This winter, Barbara and Alvaro will vacation in Todos Santos, Baja, Mexico, where they will rest, relax and paint! During their absence, sculptor Marcia McEachron and poet Michael Kincaid will live and work at the Cardona-Hine Gallery and residence. The gallery will be open as usual. Come and meet the resident artists!

Two years ago, a Zen nun came to stay with us for a month in order to study painting with Alvaro. A year later she returned with film-maker Patrick van Boeckel, to document that stay for the Buddhist Broadcasting Foundation. The DVD is now available in Dutch with English subtitles from our gallery for $16, including shipping. The result is a beautifully filmed, thoughtfully presented DVD joining the practices of zen and painting.

Alvaro's lifetime of poetry written in Spanish will be co-published by Editorial Catriel, in Madrid, Spain, and the University of New Mexico Press, in Albuquerque, under the title, Sucursal de Estrella. It is due out this winter.
