The artist, together with friends, walked down to the beach on one night of the full moon while staying in Todos Santos the winter of 2009. The Pacific is very dangerous in this area. The beach is steeply sloped, the water so deep that the whales come to feed within fifteen to twenty feet of the shore. At night, as beautiful as the sky and ocean are, the feelings of danger and the sea's power are augmented. Hence, while capturing the great beauty of that night, the painting also brings to the viewer those accompanying feelings. Measures 25 x 21 inches.
