Brother to Apollo is an acrylic figure painting on canvas measuring 20 x 15 inches. The way Cardona-Hine paints is that he allows the paint to dictate what emerges, then joins in with it, as in a dance. So the artist had no intention to paint anything but a figure, maybe male, maybe not, whatever turned out. This one appeared with its intimations of Greece, of the classical, hence, Apollo's brother,though none of us knew Apollo had a brother, did we?
