While the title of this art work, "Militant Earth" claims a connection to the earth, the painting is a true abstract art work. With a pearly light suffusing the whole canvas and muting the colors beneath, it glows with a gentleness that vies with the "militant" part of the title. However, the artist insists that he saw the solidity of fields melting under the impact of human unconcern.
A sophisticated piece, it needs a frame unless it is placed on a dark or deeply colored wall; otherwise it bleeds off into a white or pastel wall.
