In the autumn, around the end of September, the artist with family and friends usually goes high up into the mountains to a meadow by a stream surrounded by aspen trees. At that time of year, the sky is a deep blue, and the yellows of the aspens glow against that contrasting sky. This painting incorporates other colors, but was inspired by one of those annual treks into the wilderness. Measures 48" x 48". |
